Terri Martindale - (President) Terri Martindale is a Principal at Alpine Vista School in Tulare, CA for Tulare City School District. Terri graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies, Fresno Pacific University with a Master's in Reading/Language Arts. She has three credentials which are; Clear Teaching Credential, Reading Specialist Credential and a Clear Administrative Credential. She is in the dissertation phase of her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management. She is a member of ACSA-Association of California School Administrators, and adjunct professor for National University's Master's program, and has been administrator of the year in 2014 at the County and Region level for ACSA. Terri is very excited to be part of the board, learn more about the school's charter, staff and to assist in any way she can to do what is best for the students. David Humerickhouse - is a local dentist in Tulare, CA. Dr. Humerickhouse graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. He later graduated from the USC School of Dentistry, with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr Humerickhouse has served in all of the leadership positions of the Tulare-Kings Dental Society (TKDS) over a period of six years, including a term as president, overseeing the governance, finance, and human resources of the association. He has further experience in governance and leadership as the past chair of the local ethics committee. He then served two three year terms as a trustee for the California Dental Association (CDA) where he was responsible for overseeing the finances of the Association's non-profit corporate arm and Holding Company, as well as governance and oversight of the various Councils and committees. Afterwards, further experience in leadership, governance, and human resources were gained as a six year member and chair of the CDA Council on Peer Review. Sharon Jansma - (Vice President) is vital to the marketing of Valley Life Charter School. Mrs. Jansma is a graduate Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Magna Cum Laude. She is a self employed Business Partner and Manager of Korsgaden/Jansma Insurance Agency. She is involved in the following professional association: Life Underwriters Training Counsel Fellow, Life and Financial Services Agent. Mrs. Jansma has expressed an interested in the Mission and Vision of VLCS and wishes to help the school. She has numerous social contacts, and is active in community programs such as Visalia Breakfast Rotary, where she has orchestrated the Bike Give-Away each Christmas, and has participated in the Rotary Exchange Student Program. Sharon serves as a Trustee for Visalia First Assembly. Sharon comes to VLCS with essential marketing skills. She will be instrumental in marketing VLCS in a natural, honest and professional manner. Jim Williams - Jim Williams is the Operations Manager for Exeter-Ivanhoe Citrus. He went through the Sunkist Training program in the early 80's to prepare him for a career in the citrus industry. Mr. Williams recently moved to Visalia from Lindsay where he served 13 years on the Lindsay Unified School District - Board of Trustees. During his tenure on the LUSD board, he served as president twice and clerk three times as well as various groups and committees. Mr. Williams has followed Valley Life Charter School since its inception and is excited to be on the board. The Mission & Vision of VLCS resonates with his belief that we are building the Leaders of tomorrow, to develop these leaders they need the solid foundation VLCS's core values instill and the parent support that VLCS expects.
